The Sun Coast SC-4R100-CAT4-9803-2WD Category 4 Transmission & Converter is designed for enhanced performance and durability. It's built with high-quality components and offers a dependable service life. The Category 4 transmission includes all features of the Category 3, with the addition of a Billet Intermediate Shaft, Dual Load Center Support, and an upgraded Billet Triple-disc Torque Converter with a Billet Stator. The 4R100 transmission replaced the E40D transmission for the 1999 model year and was mated to the 7.3L Power Stroke diesel through the 2003 model year Ford trucks. It features Alto Red Eagle clutches with Kolene steels, a heavy-duty 45-element sprag, TransGo HD2 Tugger Kit for improved shifting and cooling, a new solenoid pack, and a new bushing kit. It also has a new carbon fiber intermediate band, a 300 Maraging Billet Input Shaft, a billet forward drum, a dual load center support with an added bronze bearing, and a billet intermediate shaft. The torque converter is designed for everyday duties, including towing and hauling, with furnace-brazed fins, hardened turbine splines, and carbon-graphitic clutches. It comes with a 3-year/unlimited mileage warranty.
