The SunCoast Category 3 5R110 transmission is an upgraded unit designed for enhanced power handling (up to 600 HP) in Ford F250 and F350 4WD trucks from 2007-2010. It features a billet rear overdrive planet, billet input shaft, and billet ring gear hub for increased durability. The transmission incorporates proprietary pump and valve body modifications for crisp and accurate shifts. Key internal upgrades include SunCoast's Low/Reverse, Overdrive, Intermediate, and Forward Clutch Packs with Kolene Steels, along with a Wide Load Direct Clutch Pack made from SCZ carbon graphitic material. It also features a SunCoast No Walk Center Support and a Mag-Hytec deep pan to prevent case distortion and improve fluid feed. The unit comes with a SunCoast Triple-Disc Billet Torque Converter. A billet flexplate is recommended for optimal reliability at this power level.
