The Sun Coast SC-6R140CAT3-1719-4WD-LC is a Category 3 transmission with an integrated torque converter designed for Ford 6.7L Powerstroke diesel engines, capable of handling 650HP+. This complete replacement for the factory 6R140 Torqshift features a robust one-piece bell housing and a deep first gear for enhanced towing. It incorporates a patented Lepelletier geartrain with five clutch sets and a powder-metal carrier, and addresses factory weaknesses with a new clutch hub and a patented damper assembly in the 4-5-6 "E CLUTCH" pack, which eliminates "squawk" and improves shift quality. This damper assembly is proven reliable at over 1,000hp, and the unit also prevents lubrication pressure loss at the converter hub support pump bearing.
