This SunCoast Allison Category 3 transmission is designed for 2017-2019 4WD Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 trucks with the 6.6L Duramax L5P engine. It is rated for up to 700 HP and includes a torque converter. Features include a billet SFI certified flexplate (29.3 specification) made from 9310 Vacumelt steel, an input shaft with a larger radius at the turbine spline, and a SunCoast Allison 1000 torque converter with a heavy-duty forged billet steel cover, custom pump/turbine modifications, Tig Welded furnace brazed fins, and proprietary trapezoidal clutch teeth. The unit also has a stronger billet C2 clutch hub (4140 heat-treated stress-relieved steel), a P2 planet made from 4140 billet steel (induction hardened) with a machine SunGear, a new internal wiring harness, SunCoast proprietary C1, C2, C3, and C4 Alto carbonite frictions/Rabestos SCZ frictions, redesigned apply pistons, and a custom SunCoast apply plate for improved lubrication.
