This spring often breaks in late-model GM 4L60-E, 4L65-E, and 4L70-E valve bodies. A broken spring can lead to a 3-2 bind-up or cause the 2-4 band to overheat. This Sonnax spring is an inexpensive replacement for the unavailable OE part and salvages the valve body, preventing these issues.
