Suncoast Converters Governor - 2nd Design 400

The SunCoast Pro-Loc TH400 Torque Converter is manufactured from a solid piece of 7075 T6 billet aluminum plate for superior heat-treating characteristics. It features a patent-pending Zero-Drag Lockup technology allowing constant oil flow across clutch surfaces, less parasitic loss, quicker throttle response, and faster spooling of aftermarket turbochargers. The modular clutch basket assembly allows for 1-5 double-sided Zero Drag clutches and offers unmatched time savings for servicing. It has a redesigned fixed turbine clearance for reduced slip and improved efficiency, utilizing two thrust bearings. The sprag assembly is replaced with a SunCoast Pro-Loc XL sprag, increasing bearing roller surface by 15%. This converter also features a 3-pass design for individual control of the converter circuit, manufactured with 12 bolt holes to the flexplate, 24 12-point 5/16” nuts and captive SAFE-D studs, and a serviceable brass pilot. It utilizes an exclusive one-piece pad and is designed, engineered, and manufactured in-house in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
