Suncoast Converters Heavy Duty Remanufactured Valve Body - 96- 08 GM054-HD

This heavy-duty remanufactured valve body is designed to prevent input sprag and forward clutch failure by engaging the overrun clutch in D4 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gears, and D3 1st and 2nd Gears, providing enhanced holding capacity. It incorporates fluid rerouting for additional D4 protection and a new servo cushion spring to mitigate downshift clunk. This valve body is ideal for vehicles with increased horsepower and torque, addressing common shift and converter clutch apply issues. It delivers firmer shifts and a moderately increased pressure curve, making it particularly suitable for truck and towing applications. The unit includes numerous Sonnax valve upgrades to restore hydraulic clearances, ensuring optimal performance. Line pressure rise has been moderately increased to overcome delayed engagements, shift complaints, and to boost the holding power of the clutches. Each valve body undergoes rigorous testing on state-of-the-art equipment to ensure solenoid feed, clutch, converter, and line pressures meet or exceed OEM specifications.
