Vehicles with GM 4L60-E, 4L65-E, and 4L70-E transmissions often experience converter overheat lockup complaints, including no lockup or immediate lockup after 2nd gear when the fluid warms up. This is frequently caused by valve bore wear, leading to issues like fluid blown out the fill tube and code 894 or 1870.
