The Sun Coast Converters 35740-21K is an oversized priming valve kit designed for Chrysler 845RE and ZF8HP45/55/70 automatic transmissions. This kit is crucial for ensuring proper solenoid flow and pressure, especially in hot conditions or at low pressures, to prevent issues like delayed engagement or wrong gear starts. It also limits excessive solenoid feed pressure that can cause harsh shifts and gear ratio codes. The kit includes a hardcoat anodized valve with annular grooves to combat wear and center the valve in the bore, along with a spring, end plug, and extra O-rings.
