The Coan Racing COA‑11125‑169 Superglide XLT Class Competition 28″ Transmission is a high-performance racing gearbox with a 1.69 final drive ratio, designed for Powerglide applications. It features a lightweight aluminum hub, Xtra‑Lite clutch drum, low‑volume pump, 300M alloy input shaft, aluminum planetary carrier, and Maximum Duty straight‑cut gears for enhanced durability and performance. The unit includes a bolt-on alloy output shaft, a fabricated deep pan for increased fluid capacity, and a brake and reverse lockout system for precise control. It is housed in a Reid one-piece case with a roller-bearing tailhousing and installs directly into Powerglide applications without modification, making it suitable for bracket racers and high-performance street/strip builds.
