Sunroof Delete Panel

The Fitment Lab E36/E46 Sunroof Delete panel is constructed from reinforced FRP with an added layer of multi-axial fiberglass cloth for improved structural rigidity, resulting in a lightweight yet rigid component. Measured at a weight-saving of 21kg, it also contributes to a lower center of gravity, potentially enhancing car balance and handling when properly set up. A key benefit of this sunroof delete is the gain of 5-7cm of headroom, which is particularly advantageous for taller drivers, especially those who wear helmets. The panel is available for both E36 and E46 chassis, with separate models that are non-interchangeable. Installation requires specific attention. The use of silicone or other bonding/insulating material around the panel's perimeter is suggested to prevent water leaks into the interior. Professional installation by a body shop is recommended, as modifications such as cutting, trimming, filling, sanding, and customizing may be necessary to ensure proper fitment. Additionally, it is advised to pre-heat the panel before painting to release any trapped air under the gel coat.
