Overview

The Trick Flow Super 23 175 cylinder heads are designed for Small Block Chevrolet engines. These assembled cast aluminum heads feature 56cc CNC chambers and 175cc intake runners. They are equipped with 1.940 inch intake valves and 1.500 inch exhaust valves, along with dual valve springs rated for up to 0.600 inch lift. The design includes a heart-shaped combustion chamber and rectangular intake ports.

These assembled cylinder heads are constructed from A356-T61 aluminum castings with 3/4-inch thick decks for enhanced strength and durability. They feature Fast As Cast® runners with a small cross-section for excellent port velocity, promoting low-end torque, while the overall profile delivers substantial flow for high RPM horsepower on small bore engines. Key specifications include 56cc combustion chambers, 175cc intake runners, and 67cc exhaust runners. The heads are fitted with 1.940-inch intake valves and 1.500-inch exhaust valves, and come with dual PAC Racing valve springs capable of handling up to 0.600-inch valve lift. Other features include a competition multi-angle valve job, angled spark plugs, and raised valve cover rails for improved rocker arm clearance and reduced oil leak potential. These heads accept most original accessories and are emissions-legal under CARB E.O. #D-747-1 for 1995 and earlier GM vehicles with Chevy 262–350 engines. Applications are for Chevrolet V8 engines, specifically Chevy small block Gen I, from 1987 to 1995, in both 5.0L/305 and 5.7L/350 displacements, utilizing a stud-style rocker arm mounting. However, these heads will not fit 1986-1991 Chevrolet Corvettes with factory aluminum heads. They are also designed for engines with a 3.736-inch bore or larger and feature a 1987-1995 intake manifold bolt pattern. Note that installation on 400 c.i. applications requires drilling steam holes into the head.
