Overview

The Trick Flow Super 23 230cc cylinder head is designed for small block Chevrolet engines. It offers the closest performance to an 18° cylinder head design within a 23° configuration and is optimized for 400 cubic inch and larger engines. The head features CNC Competition Ported runners, fully CNC-profiled combustion chambers, and a high-resolution surface finish for enhanced flow. It also includes angled spark plugs, extra-thick decks and walls for porting, and raised valve cover rails.

The Trick Flow Super 23 230cc cylinder head is engineered to deliver high-end racing technology for small block Chevrolet engines, providing performance comparable to 18° cylinder heads while maintaining a 23° design. This head is particularly well-suited for engines 400 cubic inches and larger. It boasts advanced features such as CNC Competition Ported runners, fully CNC-profiled combustion chambers, and an advanced surface finish for superior airflow and performance. Constructed from durable aluminum, these assembled cylinder heads feature a heart-style combustion chamber with a volume of 70cc. The intake runners are also CNC-machined and measure 230cc, while the exhaust runners are 78cc and feature a D-port shape. With a 2.080 in. intake valve diameter and a 1.600 in. exhaust valve diameter, these heads are designed to maximize volumetric efficiency. The package includes intake and exhaust valves, dual 1.550″ valve springs capable of 460 lbs./in., chromoly steel retainers, and 10-degree locks. Additional design elements include angled spark plugs, extra-thick decks and walls for potential porting, and raised valve cover rails for improved clearance. The intake port location is standard with a rectangular shape, and the exhaust port shape is a D-port, also standard. Note that these heads require specific head gaskets with a 4.155 in. bore diameter for proper installation.
