The JLT Performance Super Big Air Cold Air Intake is engineered to support the extreme airflow demands of heavily modified 2010-2014 Shelby GT500 Mustangs utilizing a Whipple supercharger. By utilizing a massive 148mm MAF housing—the largest currently available—this intake system is specifically recommended for applications producing 800 to 1,000+ rear-wheel horsepower, effectively removing the flow limitations of the stock air box. The system features a durable, roto-molded plastic intake tube paired with a large, reusable 6" x 9" S&B Power Stack oiled air filter, providing both improved flow efficiency and long-term maintenance savings. The kit includes all necessary components for a standard one-hour installation, such as the heat shield, silicone coupler, and required mounting hardware. Compatibility is strictly limited to 2010-2014 Shelby GT500 models equipped with an aftermarket Whipple supercharger. A critical post-installation requirement is a custom computer tune; the vehicle's ECU must be reprogrammed via a handheld tuner to accommodate the increased airflow and larger MAF housing, as the engine will not operate correctly with the factory calibration.
