Description

The ATI Super Damper harmonic balancer is specifically engineered for late-model 1.6L Mini Cooper engines, offering SFI 18.1 Certification and robust protection against engine harmonics. It effectively dampens torsional crankshaft vibrations across all RPM levels, ensuring optimal engine performance and longevity. Constructed with an aluminum shell and a steel hub (part number 916102), this damper features a 6-rib serpentine belt drive for reliable power transfer. It also includes laser-etched timing marks for precise engine tuning. The damper has an inertia weight of 2.20 lbs and a 3-ring design. Installation requires a belt tensioner tool for removing or replacing the factory belt. Notably, the ATI puller tool is not compatible with this specific damper. This harmonic balancer is designed as a direct replacement for the OEM unit, simplifying the installation process.
