Super Damper Harmonic Balancer

The ATI Performance 918487 Super Damper is a patented harmonic balancer exclusively designed for high-performance engines, including Gen III Hemi 5.7L and 6.4L applications. It provides balanced dampening of torsional crankshaft vibrations across all RPM ranges, eliminating harmful torsional vibrations. This damper exceeds SFI 18.1 specifications and features laser-engraved 360-degree timing marks for precise engine tuning. The construction involves inner and outer shells made from aluminum, housing a steel inertia weight. The unit is finished in black zinc chromate and comes with a new crank bolt and a smaller diameter washer. This harmonic balancer is highly recommended for heavily modified engine packages, including stroker engines and applications involving significant boost. Its design includes a 15% underdrive, measured at a 5.67-inch outer diameter, which can help reduce accessory drag while maintaining smooth operation, making it ideal for high-RPM use.
