Super Damper LS Harmonic Balancer, 7.5-Inch 6-Rib

The ATI 917266 Super Damper is an LS harmonic balancer engineered to combat harmful engine vibrations, offering a robust solution for both street and track use. It addresses common failures in OEM LS and LT based applications where balancer shells can detach from the hub over time, while also providing enhanced protection for high-RPM performance and racing engines. This harmonic balancer features an OEM diameter 7.5-inch, 6-rib serpentine drive configuration and includes a separate 4-rib pulley for the AC system. The construction consists of a lightweight aluminum shell bonded to a strong steel hub, ensuring durability and longevity. The damper is designed to eliminate torsional crankshaft vibrations, exceeding SFI 18.1 specifications. It also includes laser-engraved 360-degree timing marks for easy reference and is tunable, rebuildable, and highly efficient across all RPM ranges. The black zinc chromate finish provides corrosion resistance. This Super Damper is specifically designed to fit 1997-2013 Corvettes, 2008-2009 G8 models, and 2013-2017 Chevy SS vehicles. It is also suitable for LS engine swaps that utilize Y-Body accessory drive spacing, which positions the accessory drive closer to the engine compared to other LS spacings. However, it is crucial to note that this balancer will NOT fit the LS7 engine or the dry-sump version of the LS3, such as those found in Manual Transmission Grand Sport Corvettes or Z06 models.
