Super Hold Servo Kit

The Sonnax Super Hold servo kit 76890-17KP is designed to enhance the performance and durability of Ford AOD transmissions. This kit provides the largest apply area available for any AOD servo, ensuring superior band engagement. This results in less slippage compared to standard servos. At lower line pressures, the apply force is comparable to the Ford A servo, but it significantly exceeds other AOD servos at mid-to-high line pressures. The kit also features optional cushion springs, which allow for maximum holding power while mitigating excessive harshness during shifts. Additionally, these springs help to minimize 3-4 shift timing issues that can sometimes occur with larger overdrive servos. The kit includes all necessary hardware for installation, such as conical washers, D-ring piston seal, spacer, return spring, servo pin, E-clip, servo piston, servo cover, O-rings, and washers. A gauge tool is also provided. This servo kit is specifically designed for Ford AOD transmissions, model years 1980-1993.
