The TCI Super StreetFighter Torque Converter is a performance upgrade designed for TH350 and TH400 automatic transmissions. It features a dual bolt pattern and an anti-ballooning plate to handle the demands of high-performance driving.

This converter provides a stall speed of 3500 to 3800 RPM behind small-block engines and 3800 to 4000 RPM behind big-block engines. It is engineered with furnace-brazed fins, needle bearings, and a hardened, pre-ground pump hub.

The TCI Super StreetFighter Torque Converter is a high-performance component engineered to improve launch RPM and torque multiplication in vehicles equipped with GM TH350 or TH400 automatic transmissions. This unit is built to withstand rigorous use, incorporating furnace-brazed fins, needle bearings, and a flame-hardened, pre-ground pump hub to ensure durability under high-stress conditions. It also features computer balancing and an integrated anti-ballooning plate, which prevents converter expansion during high-RPM usage. Performance characteristics include a stall speed range of 3500 to 3800 RPM for small-block engines and 3800 to 4000 RPM for big-block engines. The unit is optimized for street and strip applications where a "full race" feel is desired, typically requiring a rear gear ratio between 3.73 and 4.88 for best results. It is compatible with 168-tooth flexplates, which must be drilled for 7/16-inch bolts. Installation requires careful attention to drivetrain setup. As a performance component, it is designed for vehicles with increased engine characteristics, including raised compression, large fuel systems, and aggressive cam durations of 280 to 310 degrees. Note that this converter does not include a flexplate, pressure switch, transmission fluid, or oil cooler, and is intended for 1965-1991 TH350 and TH400 transmissions.
