The VF Engineering VFK31-01 supercharger kit is engineered to deliver substantial, reliable horsepower gains for the 2001-2002 BMW Z3 3.0i equipped with the M54 3.0L engine. This complete bolt-on system is designed for true do-it-yourself installation and is fully reversible, utilizing a robust Vortech V3 Si-Trim supercharger. The kit includes all necessary components to transform your vehicle, boosting performance from an estimated 200hp to 290hp at the wheels, an increase of 105hp at the flywheel, achieved with 6psi of manifold pressure. Constructed with a T3 Hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum bracket, this kit prioritizes OEM quality and drivability. VF-Engineering's extensive research and development ensure that the system works safely within BMW's OEM parameters, minimizing the risk of diagnostic trouble codes or check-engine lights. The included custom VF.GIAC software realigns fueling and engine management for optimal performance and reliability. Installation is estimated to take between 10-14 hours. The supercharger system remains fully OBD2 compliant and comes with a 1-year unlimited mileage warranty on the product. VF engineers determined that 6psi is the optimal boost pressure without the need for aftercooling, maximizing performance while maintaining safety within the engine's design limits.
