SuperComp 2-Piece Floating Disc Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit offers the ultimate upgrade in stopping power for your vehicle, utilizing advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and ensure consistent cooling of the brake pads. The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, machined from aircraft quality billet, features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7 lbs each and includes machined protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features on each caliper design include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design inherently improves pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs. Additionally, stainless steel brake lines are incorporated to prevent expansion under pressure. The SuperComp systems include a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which effectively reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating disc design also mitigates thermal stresses caused by extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping of the braking surface. The rotor's unique slot design contributes to reduced braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are suggested for vehicles used more frequently on the track.
