The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide superior stopping power for your Mercedes Benz W215 CL-Class. This advanced braking system integrates new technologies to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads during aggressive use. At the heart of this kit is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration with significantly larger pistons than standard ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7 lbs. each. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while the stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each caliper uses four brake pads due to its larger size. The 2-piece floating disc assembly included in the SuperComp systems reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor helps dissipate gas and pad debris more effectively than conventional slots, while also reducing braking noise. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. This kit comes standard with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC ceramic material for optimal performance in street and occasional track conditions, operating efficiently between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust and noise compared to race pads. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads are also available, constructed from carbon metallic material for extreme track conditions with optimal temperatures between 482°F – 1472°F, though not recommended for street use. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, improving pedal feel and response. All Ksport big brake kits carry a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
