The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver ultimate stopping power for your Mercedes-Benz W221 S-Class. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads during heavy use. The SuperComp caliper, crafted from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, features larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, a differential bore configuration, and aluminum pistons with high-temperature seals. It also includes titanium brake pad retainer clips and stainless-steel wear plates for durability and performance. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. For the SuperComp series, four brake pads are standard per caliper due to their larger size. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which minimizes rotating and unsprung weight while preventing thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique slot design on the rotor aids in reducing braking noise and expels gas and pad debris effectively. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance, with cross-drilled options recommended for daily-driven vehicles to run cooler. Standard Ksport SC5 Street Pads offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced brake dust and noise compared to race pads. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made of carbon metallic, are available for extreme track conditions but are not recommended for street use due to their high operating temperature requirements.
