The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver ultimate stopping power for your BMW E53 X5. The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring a differential bore configuration and larger pistons than ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7lbs and includes protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless steel wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each caliper in this series requires four brake pads. This kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight, and prevents thermal stress from warping the disc or cupping the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes noise and expels gas and pad debris effectively. Cross-drilled rotors are standard for this rear kit, recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler. You can choose between Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for street and occasional track use with optimal temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F, or Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made for extreme track conditions with optimal temperatures between 482°F – 1472°F and not recommended for street use. All Ksport big brake kits come with a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
