Supercomp 356x32mm Front Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit offers a substantial upgrade in stopping power for your vehicle, specifically designed for the Mercedes Benz R172 SLK 350. This front brake system incorporates advanced technology to combat brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads. The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7 lbs. and includes protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, four brake pads are standard per caliper. The kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, reducing both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating disc design mitigates thermal stresses that can warp the disc or cup the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance, with cross-drilled options recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operation, and slotted rotors for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track conditions, offering reduced dust, noise, and rotor wear. An optional upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. These kits are made to order and are non-refundable, with an estimated ETA provided after order submission.
