The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade in stopping power for your Audi D4 4H A8. This front axle kit features massive 380mm x 32mm rotors and extreme lightweight SuperComp calipers with a differential bore configuration and 8 pistons, providing substantially larger pistons than OEM designs. The calipers are forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 7 lbs each, and incorporate protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates for enhanced durability and performance. The opposed piston design improves pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each caliper requires four brake pads due to its substantial size. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly that reduces rotating and unsprung weight while preventing thermal stress from warping the discs. The unique slot design on the rotors minimizes braking noise and expels gas and pad debris effectively. Cross-drilled rotors are standard and recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler operating temperatures, while slotted rotors are suggested for more track-focused use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are ceramic and designed for optimal street and occasional track performance, offering reduced dust and noise. An optional upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) is available for extreme track conditions, though they are not recommended for street use due to their high optimal operating temperature range. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, improving pedal feel and response. Ksport provides a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
