Supercomp 380mm 8-Piston Front Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit provides an ultimate stopping power upgrade for your Porsche 987 Cayman. This front kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and enhance brake pad cooling. The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 7 lbs each, and features differential bore sizing with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design improves pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, each uses four brake pads. This kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce rotational and unsprung weight and minimize thermal stress. The rotors feature a unique slot design to reduce braking noise and expel gases and debris, with heat-treated and balanced rotors for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal street and occasional track performance with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. An option for Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) is also available for extreme track conditions, though not recommended for street use due to their high working temperatures (482°F – 1472°F).
