The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is a high-performance braking system engineered to provide superior stopping power for your BMW E36 or Z3. This front kit features a substantial 380x32mm 2-piece floating disc assembly designed to combat brake fade under demanding conditions. The innovative design actively cools the brake pads and refreshes their surface during braking, ensuring consistent performance. At the heart of this kit are the extreme lightweight SuperComp calipers, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. These calipers boast a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp series, contributing to massive stopping power. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel braided brake lines offer improved pedal feel and quicker response by eliminating line expansion under pressure. Due to their significant size, the SuperComp calipers each utilize four brake pads. The 2-piece floating disc assembly is crucial for reducing both rotating and unsprung weight, while also mitigating thermal stresses that can lead to disc warping or cupping. Ksport offers both cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler running temperatures, and slotted rotors, better suited for track applications. Both rotor types feature unique slot designs that reduce braking noise and efficiently expel gas and pad debris. The kit comes standard with Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal street and occasional track performance, with an option to upgrade to RC5 Race Pads for extreme track conditions.
