The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide superior stopping power and thermal resistance for the BMW E85/E86 Z4 M. This kit is a direct bolt-on upgrade, integrating advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and maintain consistent performance under demanding conditions. At the core of this kit are the extreme lightweight SuperComp calipers, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. These calipers feature a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp series, weighing just over 7 lbs each. They incorporate machined protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear consistency and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless steel braided brake lines are included, which improve pedal feel and response by eliminating expansion under pressure. Due to the substantial size of the SuperComp calipers, each unit utilizes four brake pads. The kit includes 2-piece floating disc assemblies, sized at 380mm x 32mm, which contribute to reducing both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design effectively combats thermal stresses that can lead to disc warping or cupping. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance, and feature a unique slot design that reduces braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Customers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driving due to cooler operation, or slotted rotors, preferred for track applications. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC ceramic for optimal street and occasional track use. Alternatively, optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon metallic, are available for extreme track conditions, though not recommended for street use due to their high operating temperature requirements. All Ksport Big Brake Kits are made to order and non-refundable. This big brake kit is specifically designed for the BMW Z Series E85 (2003-2008) and E86 (2006-2008) models, including the Z4 M S54 3.2L. Customers can select from various caliper colors, including Ksport Orange, Race Red, Caution Yellow, Jet Black, Bold Blue, and premium finishes like Lightning Silver, High Silver Polish, High Gold Polish, Titanium, Glassy Green, Glassy Blue, Glassy Orange, Glassy Red, Glassy Black, and Hard Anodized Black, some incurring additional charges.
