The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide ultimate stopping power for your Audi B8 Q5 Quattro. This kit features an extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft quality billet aluminum, with a differential bore configuration and significantly larger pistons than standard calipers. The caliper design includes protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. Its opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the stainless-steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, each requires four brake pads. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stresses that can cause warping or cupping of the braking surface. The rotors feature a unique slot design to reduce noise and expel gases and debris efficiently. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended as they tend to run cooler. The standard SC5 Street Pads are ceramic, designed for optimal street and occasional track performance with reduced dust and noise. Optional RC5 Race Pads, made of carbon metallic, are available for extreme track conditions but are not recommended for street use due to their high operating temperatures. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, improving pedal feel and response. Ksport offers a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
