Supercomp 380x32mm Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is a high-performance braking system designed for the Volkswagen MK5 Jetta, offering a 380x32mm rotor size for enhanced stopping power. The SuperComp caliper itself is a marvel of engineering, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum and weighing just over 7lbs. It features differential bore configuration with much larger pistons than standard ProComp calipers. The caliper design includes machined protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. Its opposed piston design greatly enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs, while the included stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. This kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which serves to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc design also prevents thermal stresses from extreme heat from warping the disc or cupping the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor efficiently expels gas and pad debris, and reduces braking noise. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles due to their cooler operation, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions, offering reduced brake dust and noise compared to race pads. Optional RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon metallic, are available for extreme track conditions but are not recommended for street use due to their high working temperature requirements. The kit includes CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets for direct bolt-up to OEM caliper locations.
