The Ksport SuperComp Front Big Brake Kit offers the ultimate in stopping power for your BMW E60/E61 5-Series. Integrating advanced brake technology, this kit significantly reduces brake fade and ensures continuous cooling of the brake pads. This kit features an extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, with larger pistons than ProComp calipers for enhanced performance. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design improves pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper size, four brake pads are standard per caliper. The kit also includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce weight and thermal stress, with a unique slot design that minimizes braking noise and expels debris efficiently. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions, with reduced dust and noise. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads are available for extreme track use. The kit includes CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets for direct bolt-on installation and D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines for improved pedal feel and response.
