The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide exceptional stopping power for the Porsche 997 911 Turbo models. This high-performance braking system boasts a massive 421mm rotor diameter and 36mm thickness, paired with an 8-piston caliper forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. The SuperComp caliper design features larger pistons for increased stopping force and differential bore configuration for improved pad wear and caliper rigidity. Its lightweight construction, weighing just over 7 lbs per caliper, also aids in reducing unsprung weight. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads. The calipers are equipped with aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances both pad longevity and rigidity over OEM systems. Standard on the SuperComp series are 4 brake pads per caliper due to their substantial size. The 2-piece floating disc assembly is a standard feature, minimizing rotating and unsprung weight while preventing thermal stresses from causing disc warping or surface cupping. The rotors feature a unique slot design to reduce braking noise and efficiently expel gas and pad debris. Cross-drilled rotors are offered and tend to run cooler, making them a recommendation for daily driven vehicles, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. The kit includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track conditions with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F–1022°F. They offer a significant reduction in brake dust and noise compared to race pads. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon metallic material, are available for extreme track conditions with optimal operating temperatures between 482°F–1472°F and are not recommended for street use. The kit also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines that improve pedal feel and response. The product is made to order and is non-refundable.
