The Ksport SuperComp Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver ultimate stopping power for your Mercedes Benz C218 CLS 550. This front big brake kit features a substantial 421mm x 36mm rotor and an aggressive 8-piston caliper for maximum performance. The SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality 6061-T6 billet aluminum, is exceptionally lightweight (just over 7lbs) and incorporates differential bore technology with larger pistons compared to standard calipers. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM setups, while DOT-compliant stainless steel braided brake lines improve pedal feel and response. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which minimizes rotating and unsprung weight, and prevents thermal stress from warping the disc. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Customers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operation, or slotted rotors, advised for track use. Both rotor types offer increased bite and self-cleaning capabilities. Ksport offers both SC5 Street Pads and RC5 Race Pads. The SC5 pads are ceramic and designed for street use with occasional track conditions, offering reduced dust and noise. The RC5 race pads are carbon metallic, intended for extreme track conditions, and require higher operating temperatures, making them unsuitable for street use.
