Supercomp 421mm Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide superior stopping power for the Volkswagen MK5 Jetta (2006-2010 models with 2.5L, TDi, 2.0T TSI, or 2.0T FSI engines). This extreme bolt-on brake upgrade features a massive 421mm x 36mm 2-piece floating disc assembly, designed to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight while combating thermal stresses that can warp rotors. The kit includes Ksport's SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality 6061-T6 billet aluminum. This caliper boasts differential bore configuration with larger pistons than their ProComp line, weighing just over 7 lbs. each. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates, all contributing to improved pad wear and caliper rigidity. The braking system utilizes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines for enhanced pedal feel and quicker response, helping to eliminate line expansion under pressure. For rotor options, cross-drilled rotors are standard and recommended for daily drivers due to their cooler operation, while slotted rotors are recommended for track use. Both rotor types offer increased "bite" and continuously clean the pad surface. The kit comes with CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets that allow for direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper location. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions with reduced brake dust and noise. An optional upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) is available for extreme track use, though not recommended for street driving due to their high optimal operating temperature.
