The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide superior stopping power for your Porsche 997 911 C4S. This front big brake system features substantial 421mm x 36mm rotors, integrating advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and ensure continuous cooling and refreshing of the brake pads during operation. The SuperComp caliper itself is a standout component, crafted from aircraft-quality billet aluminum for extreme lightweight performance. It boasts a differential bore configuration with pistons considerably larger than those found in ProComp calipers. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design optimizes pad wear and enhances caliper rigidity compared to OEM setups, while the stainless-steel brake lines maintain pedal feel by preventing expansion under pressure. Notably, due to the caliper's larger size in the SuperComp series, each caliper utilizes four brake pads. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which contributes to reducing both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating disc design effectively manages thermal stresses generated by extreme heat, preventing disc warping and braking surface cupping. The rotors feature a unique slot design that minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced for peak performance. The product is offered with a choice of cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler running characteristics, or slotted rotors, suited for more frequent track use. Customers can select between Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions with reduced dust and noise, or Ksport RC5 Race Pads, which are carbon metallic and built for extreme track conditions.
