The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver ultimate stopping power for your Volkswagen MK3 Jetta. This front brake system integrates advanced technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads during operation, ensuring consistent performance. The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring a differential bore configuration with much larger pistons than ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7lbs and includes protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, four brake pads are standard per caliper. The kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly designed to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. This design also mitigates thermal stresses that can cause disc warping or surface cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are suggested for more track-oriented use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are NAOC ceramic pads optimized for street and occasional track use, operating efficiently between 194°F – 1022°F. An option to upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads, carbon metallic pads for extreme track conditions (482°F – 1472°F), is available. The kit includes custom-fit CNC machined carbon steel caliper brackets and D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines for improved pedal feel and response. All Ksport big brake kits come with a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects. This product is made to order and is non-refundable once the order is placed.
