Supercomp 421mm x 36mm Front Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is a high-performance braking system engineered for the BMW E39 M5. It features a SuperComp 8-piston caliper, known for its extreme lightweight construction (forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 7 lbs each) and a differential bore configuration with much larger pistons than standard calipers. The kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly with 421mm x 36mm slotted rotors. This design reduces rotating and unsprung weight while preventing thermal stresses from warping the discs. The unique slot design helps expel gas and pad debris, and slotted rotors are recommended for track use. The calipers are equipped with aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates, contributing to improved pad wear and caliper rigidity. Standard included are Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are ceramic pads designed for optimal street and occasional track performance, offering reduced dust and noise compared to race pads. For more extreme use, race pads are available as an option. The system also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless steel braided brake lines to improve pedal feel and response, and CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets for direct bolt-on installation.
