The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit represents their most extreme brake upgrade, engineered to deliver unparalleled stopping power for the Mitsubishi Lancer (2002-2007) without requiring vehicle modifications for installation. This sophisticated, bolt-on system enhances performance by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased piston count and standard full-floating rotors for superior self-centering. Constructed from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, the one-piece calipers are exceptionally lightweight, strong, and corrosion-resistant. They feature aluminum pistons that offer superior heat resistance and consistent operation, along with CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets that allow for direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper bracket locations. The two-piece floating rotor design allows the outer section to shift slightly, improving self-centering within the caliper, reducing brake drag, and boosting overall performance through more even pad application. This kit includes Ksport's SC5 Street Brake Pads, formulated for optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions. They offer a significant reduction in brake dust and noise while minimizing rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, eliminating expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with slotted recommended for track use and cross-drilled for daily driving. The standard kit includes two forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece slotted rotors, one set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, two stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting components and hardware.
