Supercomp 8-Piston 356mm Front Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide superior stopping power and reduce brake fade for your Mercedes Benz SLK R170 (1997-2003) equipped with 230 or 320 engines. This front kit features a one-piece, CNC-machined caliper from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 5 lbs. The opposed-piston caliper design enhances pad grip and rigidity, while aluminum pistons resist corrosion and reduce weight. Reinforced carbon steel caliper brackets allow for direct bolt-on installation to existing mounting points. The kit includes 2-piece rotors with an aluminum center, measuring 356mm in diameter and 32mm in width, featuring a drilled surface and a floating design. This floating design allows for better self-centering and reduced brake drag, while the 2-piece construction minimizes the chance of rotor warpage. The drilled rotor style is noted to run cooler and provide increased "bite" over stock, continuously cleaning and refreshing the pad surface, making it recommended for daily driven vehicles. For extreme track use, Ksport also offers RC1 Race Pads, while SC5 Street pads are recommended for street use with their long-lasting, low-dust ceramic compound.
