The Ksport Supercomp 8 Piston Big Brake Kit is an extreme, bolt-on brake upgrade engineered for superior stopping power on the Honda Civic Type R (FK8) 2017-2021. This sophisticated system offers the same benefits as Ksport's ProComp kit but features larger calipers, rotors, brake pads, and an increased number of pistons. The calipers are constructed from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, utilizing a lightweight, forged one-piece design that provides exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. This design also incorporates larger pistons than the ProComp series, with a differential bore configuration for improved pad wear and caliper rigidity. Standard on the Supercomp models are aluminum pistons and high-temperature seals for enhanced heat resistance. This kit features 380mm, two-piece floating rotors, available in slotted or cross-drilled options. The floating design allows for slight expansion and contraction, aiding in self-centering within the caliper, reducing brake drag, and improving overall performance. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use due to their ability to expel gases and debris more effectively, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily driving as they tend to run cooler. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Brake Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, reducing brake dust and noise. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, preventing line expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines.
