The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit offers the ultimate in stopping power for your Mercedes-Benz W166 GLE. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool and refresh the brake pad surface during braking. At the core of this system is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It boasts a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7 lbs each and featuring built-in protection grooves. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems, while the stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, each caliper requires four brake pads. The kit includes Ksport's 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating disc design also mitigates thermal stresses that can cause warping or cupping of the rotor surface under extreme heat. The rotors feature a unique slot design that minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Ksport rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. The kit comes standard with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are ceramic pads designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track use, operating efficiently between 194°F – 1022°F. For dedicated track use, optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available. This big brake kit is specifically designed for the Mercedes-Benz GLE Class W166 models from 2016-2019, including the GLE 400, GLE 43 AMG, GLE 450, and GLE 63 AMG, all equipped with M276 3.0TT or M157 5.5LTT engines. The kit includes CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets to ensure proper fitment to the OEM caliper locations.
