Supercomp 8-Piston 421mm Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade in stopping power for the Volkswagen Touareg models from 2004 to 2010, specifically designed for the 6.0 W12 engine variant. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads during aggressive braking. The SuperComp caliper is extremely lightweight, machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, and features a differential bore configuration with much larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates for durability and performance. The opposed piston caliper design improves pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems, while the stainless steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure. This big brake kit comes standard with a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces rotational and unsprung weight, leading to quicker braking response and shorter stopping distances. The floating disc design also mitigates thermal stresses that can cause warping. The unique slot design on the rotor helps reduce braking noise and expels gas and pad debris effectively. For optimal performance, Ksport offers choices between slotted rotors, recommended for track use due to their heat and debris expulsion capabilities, and cross-drilled rotors, which tend to run cooler and offer increased "bite", making them suitable for daily driven vehicles. Ksport offers a choice of brake pads to suit different driving needs, including SC5 Street pads with a long-lasting, low-dust ceramic compound for street use, and RC1 Race Pads with a carbon metallic compound for extreme track conditions.
