The Ksport Supercomp 8 Piston Big Brake Kit represents the pinnacle of Ksport's braking upgrades, engineered to deliver maximum stopping power while maintaining a straightforward, bolt-on installation without requiring vehicle modifications. This sophisticated system builds upon the foundation of the Procomp kit, incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and pads, alongside an increased piston count for superior braking force. The inclusion of standard full-floating rotors further enhances performance by allowing for better self-centering within the caliper. Each caliper is meticulously crafted from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, resulting in a lightweight yet exceptionally strong and corrosion-resistant component. The kit features a floating two-piece rotor design, where the outer section of the rotor can shift slightly. This design aids in better self-centering within the caliper, reducing brake drag and improving overall performance through more even pad application. The Supercomp kit comes standard with Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic material to offer optimal braking performance for both street driving and occasional track use. These pads significantly reduce brake dust (by 50% or more compared to race pads) and minimize noise and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Additionally, the kit includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with slotted rotors recommended for track use due to their enhanced cooling and debris clearing capabilities, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily drivers for their cooler operation.
