The Ksport Supercomp 8-piston big brake kit represents their most extreme brake upgrade, engineered for maximum stopping power with a direct bolt-on installation. This system enhances the Procomp kit with larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, alongside an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors that facilitate better self-centering within the caliper. The calipers are precision-machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet exceptionally strong and corrosion-resistant one-piece construction. Inside, aluminum pistons are utilized for superior heat resistance and reliable operation. The kit features a two-piece floating rotor design, where the outer rotor section can slightly shift for optimal self-centering, reducing brake drag and improving stopping performance through more consistent application. Standard on this kit are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent line expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Included are SC5 NAOC Ceramic brake pads, offering optimal performance for street and occasional track use, with a claimed reduction of 50% or more in brake dust compared to race pads, along with reduced noise and rotor wear. The pads operate effectively between 194°F and 1022°F. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are suggested for track-focused vehicles. The calipers are available in various standard colors like orange, red, black, and yellow, with premium high-polish finishes and over 20,000 custom color options also available.
