The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide the ultimate stopping power for your BMW E46 3-Series. This kit integrates new brake technology to drastically reduce brake fade and continuously cools and refreshes the brake pad surface under braking, ensuring consistent performance even under extreme conditions. The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 7lbs and featuring differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while the stainless-steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure. This kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping of the braking surface. The rotors feature a unique slot design that reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Buyers can choose between slotted rotors, recommended for track use, or cross-drilled rotors, which tend to run cooler and are suitable for daily driven vehicles. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions, offering reduced dust, noise, and rotor wear. For more demanding use, optional RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available, designed for extreme track conditions but not recommended for street use due to their high operating temperature requirements. The kit includes CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets for direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper location and D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines for improved pedal feel and quicker response. All Ksport big brake kits come with a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
