The Ksport SuperComp 8 Piston Big Brake Kit offers the ultimate in stopping power, integrating advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and maintain optimal pad surface condition during demanding use. The SuperComp caliper itself is a marvel of engineering, machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It is exceptionally lightweight, weighing just over 7 lbs each, and features a differential bore configuration with substantially larger pistons compared to Ksport's ProComp calipers. These calipers also incorporate aluminum pistons for superior heat resistance, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates, all contributing to enhanced durability and performance. This kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which not only reduces rotating and unsprung weight but also effectively manages thermal stresses to prevent disc warping and maintain the integrity of the braking surface. The rotors are available with a unique slot design to minimize braking noise and facilitate faster expulsion of gas and pad debris, or as cross-drilled rotors which tend to run cooler and are recommended for daily-driven vehicles. Slotted rotors are suggested for vehicles with more track usage. Included are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. These lines resist expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to standard rubber lines. The kit also comes with NAOC Ceramic pads, designed for optimal braking performance on the street and for occasional track use, offering a 50% reduction in brake dust and noise.
