SuperComp 8 Piston Big Brake Kit

The Ksport SuperComp Big Brake Kit offers the ultimate in stopping power, integrating new brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and refresh the brake pad surface during braking. The kit features an extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. This caliper has a differential bore configuration and significantly larger pistons compared to ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7 lbs and includes protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while the stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure for a firmer pedal feel and quicker response. SuperComp systems include a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping of the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more effectively than conventional designs. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily drivers. This specific kit is designed for the 1998-2005 Volkswagen Golf MK4.
