Supercomp 8-Piston Front Big Brake Kit

The Ksport BKMT191-836SO Supercomp Big Brake Kit offers a substantial upgrade to your vehicle's braking system. Each caliper is CNC machined from aerospace-quality billet aluminum, ensuring superior rigidity and eliminating weak points found in cast or welded designs. These calipers weigh approximately 5 lbs. each, contributing to a reduction in unsprung weight. The opposed 8-piston configuration enhances pad wear consistency and caliper stiffness compared to OEM designs. Calipers include aluminum pistons for heat resistance, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The kit features two-piece, full-floating slotted rotors that reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design allows for better self-centering and prevents warping from extreme heat, while the slotted surface expels gases and debris. These rotors are heat-treated and precision balanced, with slotted designs recommended for track use. Included are NAOC Ceramic brake pads, optimized for street and occasional track use with an operating temperature range of 194°F – 1,022°F. These pads significantly reduce brake dust and minimize rotor wear and noise. The kit also includes DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which resist expansion under pressure for improved pedal response and feel. Key specifications include 330 mm (13 in.) front rotors, 8-piston calipers, and an orange finish. The kit comes with mounting brackets and anti-rattle springs, but pad shims are not included. It is not subject to CARB regulations.
