SuperComp 8 Piston Front Big Brake System

The KSport SuperComp 8 Piston Front Big Brake System is engineered to deliver ultimate stopping power for your 2012-2015 Scion FR-S. This extreme brake upgrade integrates advanced technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool and refresh the brake pad surfaces during use. At the core of this kit is the SuperComp caliper, constructed from aircraft-grade billet 6061-T6 aluminum for exceptional strength and heat dissipation. It features a differential bore design with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, improving pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM components. The calipers house aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. Each caliper requires four brake pads, with Ksport's SC5 street pads (NAOC ceramic) included as standard, offering optimal performance for street and occasional track use. Optional RC1 carbon metallic race pads are available for extreme track conditions. The system utilizes Ksport's 2-piece floating disc assembly, available in 380mm diameter. These floating discs reduce both rotating and unsprung weight while minimizing thermal stress from extreme heat, preventing disc warping and cupping. The rotors come with a unique slot design to reduce braking noise and expel gas and debris more efficiently. Buyers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to better cooling, or slotted rotors, recommended for track use. Both designs offer increased "bite" and pad surface refresh compared to stock. Included in the kit are CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets that facilitate a direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper bracket location, accommodating the larger caliper size. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless steel braided brake lines are standard, enhancing pedal feel and providing quicker response under pressure. All Ksport big brake kits come with a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
